Hapman Introduces IntegriVac™ for Clean Powder Handling and Faster Changeover
October 18, 2026
Hapman, a global leader in custom built bulk material handling equipment, is proud to introduce IntegriVac™, a compact, modular, quick-clean vacuum conveying platform for powders and bulk solids. Engineered with Herding® Filtration Technology, IntegriVac is designed to help processors protect product, simplify changeover and keep powders inside the process without unnecessary system complexity.
Quick-release conveying connections and tubing, sanitary-style clamps and compact modular sections are designed for rapid one-person disassembly, simplifying teardown and access for cleaning. Washdown-rated construction supports washdown procedures, while the clean-out-of-place (COP)-friendly design supports cleaning of disassembled components outside the installed system. These features make cleaning and changeover more practical for processors that frequently change products or campaigns.
Hapman can engineer IntegriVac for dilute, semi-dense or dense-phase vacuum conveying, selecting conveying behavior around material characteristics, rate, distance and product-protection goals rather than forcing every material into one operating regime. Dense-phase and low-velocity configurations can support gentle transfer where appropriate, with performance dependent on the material and engineered configuration. Flexible phase selection also supports specialty industrial applications involving moderately abrasive powders and materials with high or low bulk density, subject to application engineering.
Herding® filtration technology provides fine-particle separation down to 0.5 micron through a rigid sintered polyethylene surface filter. Fine particles separate at a microporous surface rather than intentionally loading within a fibrous filter body, supporting automatic cleaning, product recovery and consistent operating conditions. The filter automatically pulse-cleans during operation and is washable, sterilizable to 250°F and PFAS-free, supporting applications where these cleaning, sterilization and material characteristics are important.
The enclosed vacuum conveying system helps keep powders inside the process and supports cleaner handling in dust-sensitive applications. Sealed connections support contained transfer, while filtration at the receiver separates fine particles from the conveying air. Because the conveying line operates below atmospheric pressure, leaks tend to draw air inward rather than push product outward. Grounded conductive hose options are available where appropriate; classified-area and combustible-dust suitability require application-specific review.
A true 100% pneumatic configuration uses plant compressed air for both vacuum generation and supplied controls. Electric vacuum and control configurations are also available, providing operating options to suit application and utility requirements. IntegriVac features 304 stainless steel as standard, with 316 stainless steel available as an option, and FDA-compliant product-contact materials for applications requiring those materials. Its compact footprint provides these capabilities in a space-conscious conveying platform.
IntegriVac is designed, manufactured and supported in the U.S., with access to Hapman application engineering and material testing. Testing can evaluate degradation, fines and segregation, helping assess material behavior and guide conveying configuration in relation to product-protection goals. These services help processors align the system with their material and process requirements across bakery and food ingredients, nutraceuticals, dairy powders, metal and additive manufacturing, and specialty industrial applications.
